Bruce Habig established Linden Capital Group in response to the market conditions for commercial real estate investors and borrowers. Mr. Habig worked at Barclays Capital in their real estate finance group from 2004 until 2011, where he was a senior client relationship manager responsible for business origination, client coverage and real estate workouts. The Barclays Capital real estate platform encompassed CMBS as well as highly structured on-balance sheet loans and included senior, subordinated, preferred equity and bridge equity structures.
Over his career, Mr. Habig has advised on and structured, negotiated and completed in excess of $10 billion real estate transactions including property acquisitions, senior and subordinated debt and equity financing, structured loans, mezzanine and hybrid structures, bridge and joint venture equity. Prior to joining Barclays Capital in 2004, Mr. Habig created Linden Capital Group LLC, where he established a formal alliance with Investcorp to manage a new business and property acquisition program. From 1988 until 2002, Mr. Habig was with Deutsche Bank Securities in the Real Estate Investment Banking Division, where he assumed responsibility for client coverage and origination of advisory services and real estate debt and equity transactions including fixed and floating rate loans, syndicated financing, debt and equity securities and M&A. Prior to Deutsche Bank Securities Mr. Habig worked in the real estate finance group at Credit-Suisse (formerly First Boston Corp.).
Mr. Habig holds an MBA degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BS degree in Accounting from Indiana University School of Business.
